Document Description
The proposed City of Chula Vista General Plan Update, consisting of a comprehensive update of the City's current General Plan and related actions, including but not limited to amendments to the Otay Ranch General Development Plan, Otay Ranch Resource Management Plan, City of Chula Vista MSCP Subarea Plan, Montgomery Specific Plan, and the Chula Vista Growth Management Program and Ordinance. State law requires each city to adopt a comprehensive, long-term general plan for the physical development of the city and any land outside its corporate boundaries that relates to its planning and operation. In addition to proposed citywide and area-specific goals, objectives, and policies, changes to General Plan land use designations and circulation element roadways are proposed within three of the four Planning Areas that comprise the Chula Vista General Plan Area. No land use designation or circulation element roadway changes are proposed within the Bayfront Planning Area of the proposed General Plan Update.
