Objectives established for the proposed SEZ are consistent with goals and objectives established for associated Redevelopment Areas, and are also considered to be consistent with, and support goals and objectives of the encompassing Hollywood and Wilshire Community Plans. To retain and expand industry, expecially the historically and economically important industry of motion picture production and other aspects of the film cluster, Los Angeles has few choices but to redevelop, and the Hollywood area is a key component of this strategy.
