Document Description
The proposed Second Amendment would re-establish the Rialto Redevelopment Agency's authority to use eminent domain to acquire non-residential property only in portions of the Agua Mansa, Gateway, and Industrial Constituent Areas as well as three residential properties within the Added Territory. (No changes to the Central Business District Constituent Area are proposed by the Second Amendment.) Except for the three residential properties, all other occupied residential property within the Affected Constituent Areas would be exempt from eminent domain under the Second Amendment. If adopted by the City Council of the City of Rialto, the Second Amendment would permit the Agency to commence eminent domain on certain property for a 12-year period.
