Document Description
Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) is requesting that, for the remainder of the current year (2004), the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) temporarily change some of the instream-flow requirements in SCWA's water-rights permits from those that normally apply during Normal hydrologic conditions to those that normally apply during Dry hydrologic conditions. This action is intended to prevent storage levels in Lake Mendocino from dropping to very low levels by the end of the dry season, as occurred in 2002, thereby protecting adult salmonid migration upstream in the fall, and preventing even lower storage levels should water year 2005 by Dry or Critically Dry.
