Document Description
The proposed project involves gravel extraction activities within the Garcia River, Mendocino County. Applicant proposes the removal of 100-cubic yards of gravel annually over a five-year period. Extraction activities shall occur from an existing site and with the exception of opening of the existing access road will not involve vegetation removal. The gravel bar is located immediately upstream from the Garcia River's confluence with Hathaway Creek. Gravel shall be used to maintain the existing road system on the property. The Garcia River will have flow during extraction activities. Department of Fish and Game is issuing a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2004-0130-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
