Document Description
Remove damaged, diseased, or dead trees on 114 acres in Plumas Eureka State Park and thin as necessary to curtail significant tree mortality caused by bark beetle outbreak; reduce high fire risk to protect both the forest and adjacent communities; retore native forest composition and structure; protect habitat components for native wildlife species; and maintain opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation. Trees to be removed will be identified by or under the supervision of a California registered professional forester, based on sanitation-salvage, commercial thinning, and fuel hazard reduction siviculture methods.
