Restore and enhance riparian habitat along the Lower Mokelumne River by removing non-native invasive species and replanting with native plants. We will also consider monitoring the response of neo-tropical migrant songbird species to the restored and enhanced areas and compare their response in other areas.

The project will result in minor alterations to lans with the goal of improving habitat in the long run. Data on the response of both avian and terrestrial wildlife will be shared through the CALFED Science Program so others performing restoration or riparian areas can learn from our work.
