- A Conditional Use Permit to allow an olive oil processing facility. The business is owned and operated solely by family members. The will be utilizing a 30,000-sq. ft. steel building on 130 acres. The use will include crushing the olives, bottling, and storage. An office will also be utilized in the production area. The processing of the olives will be by mechanical means of extraction only. No use of chemical or solvents of any kind will be used. The byproduct will be utilized as a soil amendment to benefit the future olive orchard which will consist of 16,000 trees and will be in full production in 20 years. During the first few years, the applicant will be having olives trucked to the site from Sacramento at the rate of 1 per day.
