Document Description
The Redevelopment Plan's current 12-year authority to commence eminent domain proceedings has expired in the area originally adopted in 1990 ("Original Project Area") and is about four years from expiring in the area added by the second amendment ("Added Area"), several blocks south of the railroad levee between 12th and 20th streets, on both sides of C Street. The proposed Amendment would re-establish this authority in the Original Project Area and extend this authority in the Added Area. The proposed new time limit would be 12 years from the effective date of the ordinance approving the Amendment.
