Document Description
The SRJC Pavilion will be located within Shone Farm facility in west Sonoma County. Interior uses will include an approximately 4,500 sf wine production instruction facility. Additional Pavilion facilities include restrooms, an office and dormitory room to provide 24-hour supervision of the facility and livestock. An outdoor arena will also be provided at the borrow site as will additional parking area. Site work will include parking spaces for employees and students. Additional parking will be provided by the adjacent 140 space lot to the northwest that will be surfaced with an all-weather, permeable material. The front of the Pavilion and its perimeter will be landscaped and include paved access walkways. The rear of the Pavilion will include a paved patio for outside use in conjunction with Pavilion events. Long term uses of the Pavilion will include equine instruction, wine production, and classroom demonstrations associated with various SRJC courses. Typical usage is expected to be approximately 20 students and instructors during typical class periods. Special events will also occur at the Pavilion, utilizing the multipurpose room and/or the arena. Events will be limited to several large events with approximately 1000 people up to three times per year and medium events with approximately 300 people up to six times per year.
