The Modesto Irrigation District (MID) is a fully integrated publicly owned electric utility serving industrial, commercial and residential customers in and around Modesto, California, and neighboring areas in Stanslaus and San Joaquin counties. The McClure Generation Station (McClure Station), located in the Beard Industrial Tract at 639 S. McClure Road, Modesto is an integral component of MID's power plant resources. Since 1979 it has provided additional power needed to reliably serve MID's customers during peak usage time and at times when other resources are not avaliable.
