The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) proposes to vacate the existing Cuyamaca Forest Fire Station located at 13650 State Route 79 (Cuyamaca Highway) and establish a new facility approximately 2.75 miles north, near the northeast corner of Engineers Road and State Route 79 (SR 79), adjoining the Volunteer Fire Station. Replacement facilities are needed to meet current standards of the Uniform Fire Code.
