- The proposed removal action project is being implemented under the direction of the State of California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 25355(a)(1). The project involves removal of contaminated soil in accordance with the methods and procedures presented in the Removal Action Workplan (RAW) [Tetra Tech, 2003] at Block N, Sector C, of the former Aliso Street Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) Site, hereinafter is referred to as the "Site". Southern California Gas Company (SCG) is performing the investigation and remediation of the Site as a Voluntary Cleanup Program, under the oversight of DTSC.
