Document Description
The Opportunities Study includes a General Plan Amendment and Rezone of approximately 900 acres of vacant lands in the Study Area. The General Plan Amendment would change the allowed land uses from industrial and commercial land use to residential and mixed-uses. The vacant lands currently have approximately 7 million sf of approved industrial and commercial development rights. The number of residences considered in the General Plan Amendment and Rezone range between 5,394 and 6,617. Approximately 40 to 70 acres of neighborhood parks, 45 acres of community sports park, community/civic center and 500,000 to 650,000 sf of commercial develoment would also be permitted as a result of the project.
