Document Description
SR 16 serves as "Main Street" for the communities of Capay and Esparto. Factors such as poor driving and pedestrian habits, truck traffic, and recreational traffic and all impact SR 16. There is also a perception in the community that the SR 16 traffic may pose a risk to the students attending the Esparto High School. The purpose of the proposed traffic-calming project is to enhance pedestrian safety and to reduce the traffic impacts on SR 16 through the towns of Capay and Esparto.
