Document Description
The project consists of building a fence approximately 230 feet long along the West Side Trail to restrict access to an archaeological site. The fence will be split-rail style, with approximately 24 posts buried to a depth of 24 inches. Two informational signs will also be placed along the fence on additional 4x4 posts. An archaeologist monitor will be present during the excavation to ensure archaeological resources are not impacted. The site is in an area of heavily disturbed vegetation and it had been determined by a State Park Resource Ecologist that there will be no impact on natural resources.

Project does not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees (class 4).
