Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
sec 15301, class 1
Reasons for Exemption
The project is a minor alteration of an existing facility to meet current electrical codes. The project will not have a significant impact on the environment. All work will be conducted within the confines of a previously developed facility, in areas currently used for drives, vehicles parking, and pack station activities. The project area has been surveyed by a qualified archaeologist, but no cultural resources were identified. A survey has also determined that the project area is not a sensitive habitat for any species, and that no rare, endangered, or threatened species will be impacted by the project. No other projects are planned for this facility that could lead to cumulative impacts if combined with this project, and no unusual circumstances are present that could potentially result in a significant impact.
