Document Description
CDFW approval that is the subject of this notice is a Minor Amendment to a CESA ITP previously issued to the Caltrans for the Sweet Ranch Mitigation Project in Alameda County, CA. The Minor Amendment as issued by CDFW, extends the term of the ITP by two years, an authorization permitting the incidental take of California tiger salamander, a species designated as threatened under CESA. The Minor Amendment does not increase the amount of take as originally authorized, nor will it increase other project impacts on the species. In general, the Sweet Ranch Mitigation project involves construction of wetland mitigation for the completed SR-84 Pigeon Pass Safety Project in Alameda County. The completed project will result in the installation of 4 acres of seasonal wetlands, 4.7 acres of restored/enhanced mixed riparian habitat, and 2.4 acres of improved bed and bank.
