Caltrans proposed to construct a soundwall consisting of thirteen 4.8 meter (16-foot) high, overlapping soundwall panels and a continuous metal beam guardrail along the north side of State Route 101 for a total of approximately 420 meters (1,400 feet). The project limits are from kilopost R10.0 to R11.8 (post mile R6.2 to R7.3) in Santa Barbara County.
