Document Description
Due to an increase in the number of students at the School and residential growth in the area of the School, the District desires to (1) add four relocatable classrooms to accommodate approximately 120 additional students, (2) add two additional relocatable classrooms for before and after school child care, (3) widen Schoolhouse Way, in the area immediately adjacent to the school, (4) expand the existing parking lot to add additional parking spaces necessary to accommodate parking demands arising in connection with both existing students and the additional student capacity added by the addition of more relocatable classrooms. Schoolhouse Way, in the areas to be widened by this Project, is a private road that is owned and maintained by the District. The purpose of the street widening and parking lot expansion is to alleviate traffic congestion at the School associated with the dropping off and picking up of students.
This Project will increase the student capacity from an existing approximate 1,120 student capacity to approximately 1,240 students. Additionally, the child care relocatables may be used in the future to accommodate additional student capacity, potentially accommodating up to 60 additional students, or 1,300 students total.
