Document Description
The proposed project consists of the remediation of contaminated soil through implementation of the Remedial Action Plan (RAP) for Operable Unit 1 (OU1) at the former Whittaker-Bermite facility, in the City of Santa Clarita, California (project site). Remediation of contaminated soil areas for Chemicals of Potential Concern (COPCs) would consist of a combination of in-situ vapor extraction (SVE) in combination with remedial excavation. Handling of excavated soils would be accomplished by combinations of off-site disposal, ex-situ anaerobic bioremediation, ex-situ soil washing, chemical oxidation, and institutional controls.
