Safeway Inc. proposes to construct a retail gasoline facility that will include a 2,052-SF wood frame, convenience store (with off-sale beer and wine), a 7,260-SF (110 x 66 feet) fuel pump island canopy with nine multi-product dispensers (18 fueling positions) and a 1,100-SF (22 x 50 feet) automated car wash. Additionally, the applicant is requesting a 90-foot high on-site freeway sign, ground sign, identification signs with Safeway logo landscaping, lighting, fuel signage, parking and standard building signage. The convenience store will sell groceries, hot food, deli items, and a variety of beverages including coffee, fountain drinks, beer/wine and containerized beverages from both the cooler box and on the sales floor. The sales floor will also contain various snack and other items typical to convenience stores.
