CDFG is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, the Sweetwater Authority. The applicant proposes to alter the stream to continue to implement the Upper Sweetwater Reservoir Habitat Management Program as a means to balance the operating needs of a drinking water reservoir with protection and management needs of federal and state listed species, namely the least Bell's vireo.
