This project involves pumping groundwater from the AHHG within the Bunker Hill Basin with the intent of lowering groundwater levels, thereby reducing the risks posed to public health and safety. Under the program, water will be pumped from existing and proposed groundwater production facilities within the AHHG and discharged into adjacent conveyance facilities. The project will utilize the flood control/storm drainage channels to convey the groundwater extracted under this program to the Santa Ana River.
