Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA# 1600-2003-5074-R6) pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Thomas Beckman. For the residential protection project, the Operator is proposing to build up and armor approximately 75 lineal feet of the southern bank of the unnamed stream. The southern bank will be elevated and armored to protect the residence at 1521 Shay Road. The northern bank will be avoided. To construct the bank armor, the Operator proposes to place fill, a layer of geotextile, and cover the area with rip-rap. At approximately 75 lineal feet by approximatel 10 feet wide (or approx. 750 square feet) the project will permanently impact less that 0.02 acres of the southern stream bank. The bank is vegetated with grasses and is mowed - no riparian vegetation will be impacted by the project. Total project impacts are less than 0.02 acre and no riparian vegetation will be impacted. The remaining northern bank of the stream will be preserved on site.
