Conduct an archaeological excavation to determine the horizontal and vertical extent of Native American mound site (CA-SJo-152) at Caswell Memorial State Park. A Native American monitor will be present during field work and testing will be limited to 12 shovel test pits (2.4 cubic meters of ground disturbance), using hand tools, to minimize disturbance to potential burials.
