Document Description
The proposed project consists of two parts. The first part would use directional boring equipment to drill two paths for installing new 8-inch diameter pipelines to carry semi-refined product. The entry point for the directional drill would be approximately 100 feet away northeast of the creek at the edge of the asphalt parking area. Bentonite or other similar drilling lubricants would be used to facilitate the bore equipment. No riparian vegetation would be disturbed at this site. The second part of the project would replace two existing pipes, each approximately 12 inches in diameter, that pass through concrete and wooden wingwalls at a road crossing over an ephemeral drainage to San Luis Obispo Creek.
