Document Description
State Route 1 is the primary transport route through Watsonville, Capitola, Aptos, and the City of Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz Route 1 Tier II Build Project – 41st Ave. to Soquel Ave. Auxiliary Lanes project will make improvements between 41st Avenue and the Soquel Drive/Soquel Avenue interchange (postmile 13.4 to 15) to increase vehicle capacity and alleviate vehicle congestion. Improvements will include widening the existing State Route 1 to construct 12-foot-wide auxiliary lanes and 10-foot-wide shoulders.
