Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0006-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Sacramento County. Project is limited to widening and deepening of approx. 2,700 linear feet of Elder Creek, as well as realignment of approx. 1,100 linear feet of Elder Creek. The new alignment of the creek will follow the northern most extent of the properties, effectively shifting the current creek alignment 250 feet to the north. The realigned creek channel will reconnect with the existing channel at Millbrook Dr. The existing creek is approx. 25-feet wide. The new channel width will vary somewhat, but will be a minimum of 100-feet in most places and will features a meandering, 6-feet wide and 12-inch deep low flow channel. The banks of the new channel will be sloped 3:1. The 1,100 linear feet of the abandon creek alignment will be filled and stabilized with hydroseed. Excavators will be used to widen and deepen the creek, construct the new alignment and abandon the existing alignment. Four new outfall structures are planned to be constructed. Rock slope protection will be placed at several curves for stabilization.
