Document Description
Construction of the project is anticipated to begin in June 2004 and continue for approximately three to four months. Construction phases would include clearing and grading; utility pole relocations; storm drain installation; installation of the bicycle lanes, curbs, gutters and sidewalks and parking; paving; post construction cleanup; and site restoration. Improvements to widen Windsor River Road to 39 feet (curb-to-curb, typical) will be accomplished by narrowng the two lanes from 12 to 11 fet, and installing "traffic calming" measures (such as bulbouts), which serve to slow traffic. The bicycle lanes will be five (5) feet wide, and the sidewalks will generally be 5.5 feet wide. Ina ddition, ornamental street lighting will be installed as part of the project.
