Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) proposes to remove soil and vegetation from the lower reach of Willow Camp Creek drainage channel. This clearing of the drainage channel is intended to reduce flooding of the transmission towers and electrical substation adjacent to the drainage channel. This drainage channel extends approximately 2,500 feet from the intersection of Main Street to its confluence with Little Morro Creek (see attached Vicinity Map). The drainage channel was constructed in the mid 1950's as part of the Morro Bay Power Plant construction that is located southwest of and adjacent to the subject drainage channel. Limited maintenance of the drainage channel coupled with the heavy rains of recent years has resulted in a significant amount of sediment filling the drainage course.
