Document Description
The proposed project consists of redevelopment of 17.2 acres of a 24.1-acre property with an existing outdoor storage facility to a commercial retail use. The remainder 6.8-acre portion lies within the Otay River Valley area and MSCP preserve and will not be developed. The project proposes the construction of seven buildings with an approximate total leaseable building area of 188,038 square feet. The project proposes to include two freestanding restaurants, a main department store anchor and additional retail spaces. The project would also include a freestanding sign directed to I-805 motorists as well as additional sign features including signage along Main Street. The discretionary actions approved by the City consisted of approval of a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Tentative Parcel Map, Design Review Committee approval and an Owner Participation Agreement.
