Document Description
This project consists of excavation and recovery of vertebrate fossils, tentatively identified as belonging to an extinct horse, in order to protect and conserve the specimen. The materials are exposed in an eroding wash bank located in the Borrego Badlands. The project will involve the removal of sedimentary deposit overlying the fossil so that specimen can be safely excavated.
