Reasons for Exemption
The Central Coast Water Authority finds that the above-described project is exempt for the following reasons. First, the project has no potential for resulting in a reasonably foreseeable physical change in the environment, direct or indirect. Second, the project is a short-term, emergency response to a decrease in elevation of the lake. Third, the project twill modify existing facilities and constitutes work on an existing pipeline to maintain a continuous supply of water to Hilton Creek and to allow delivery of State Water Project water to Lake Cachuma, which are both ongoing activities previously analyzed for their environment effects. Fourth, the project is a minor alteration to an existing public facility. Fifth, the project is new construction of small structures.
