Document Description
Replace four existing 520 gallon metal chorine contact tanks with a series of 6 inch PVC pipes. The tanks are located behind the Van Damme State Park water treatment plant within the campground. The metal tanks are deteriorating and no longer function properly to provide the required contact time before water can be discharged for portable use. The PVC pipes will be installed in the existing concrete pad that now supports the tanks. Plywood will be placed over the ground surface so that a backhoe can access the tanks for removal without causing excessive soil and vegetation disturbance.
