Document Description
The Operator proposes to expand and renovate its existing fire station No. 44, located at 295 Orchard Road in Orinda, Contra Costa country. The project includes the demolition and removal of some existing fire station structures and the construction of a new larger and fully renovated fire station. The new fire station has been designed for rear access/entry to the facility by fire fighting and other emergency vehicles. The access will require the building of a driveway across an existing underground culverted section of the unnamed drainage. The work would require the import of 7,000 to 8,000 cubic yards of fill material to raise portions of the property site and bring the access to the existing grade of the station. The final slope of the channel will not exceed 2:1 at any point. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2003-5354-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
