Document Description
The project consists of lowering the height of an earthen dam in order to reduce the capacity of the basin behind it, bringing the dam into compliance with the California Water Code. The dam is situated on property that was recently acquired by the Department. The height of the dam will be lowered by approximately 15 feet using a bulldozer and motor grader to redeposit existing dam material to its original preconstruction location within the drainage. The dam will not be completely obliterated by the project.
