Document Description
In the mid 1980s, Futures Foundation purchased the run-down and abandoned town of Idria and began dumping waste on the surface of the closed New Idria Mines Disposal Site. Discarded materials include trash/garbage, appliances, abandoned vehicles, tires, scrap metals, wood waste, and inert debris.
Remediation of the site includes removal of surficial solid waste to an appropriate facility for disposal. Waste tires and metal items will be removed to appropriate recycling facilities.
