The project site is made up of two parcels that are within the City of Arcata Sphere of Influence. The Annexation Parcel (APN 505-161-011) is proposed for residential uses and the Agricultural Parcel (APN 505-151-001) is proposed to remain in agricultural use. The Annexation Parcel is partially within the City of Arcata, within the Urban Services Boundary of the City of Arcata, and has been pre-zoned for residential use by the City. The Agricultural Parcel is within the Sphere of Influence and is proposed to have a 1.3 acre storm water detention basin and agricultural uses, but will remain in the unincorporated area.
