The Board intends to consider for approval a management plan for Jackson Demonstration State Forest. The primary purpose of JDSF, as stated by the Legislature, is the demonstration of economical forest management (PRC S 4631(d)). Management is defined to mean the handling of forest crop and forest soil to achieve maximum sustained production of high quality forest products while giving consideration to values relating to recreation, watershed, wildlife, range and forage, fisheries, and aesthetic enjoyment.
