The Housing Element is a planning tool for use by citizens and public officials in understanding and meeting the housing needs in Colfax. It addresses existing and future housing needs of all types for persons of all economic groups in the City and is one of the seven required elements in a General Plan. State law requires the Housing Element be updated every five years. The 2003-2008 Colfax Housing Element was adopted on March 23, 2004. The Housing Element is a policy level document.
