Document Description
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) owns and operates a 60kV, double circuit, lattice steel tower line on the Samoa Peninsula in Humboldt County. This tower line contains two 60kV electric transmission circuits, the Humboldt- Fairhaven- Arcata 60kV and the Humboldt- Janes Creek- Arcata 60kV transmission lines. PG&E has identified a 5.4 mile section along this alignment that contains towers that have deteriorated to the point that they need to be replaced. Specifically PG&E proposes to replace 21 deteriorated towers with new towers and make repairs to an additional 9 towers on the existing foundations.
