The major components of the proposed water system improvements include: I. Two new water wells capable of producing 500 gpm each, with new hydropneumatic tanks and diesel generators; II. Construct "existing" 500,000-gallon storage tank plus additional 260,000-gallon storage tank, or two new wells in excess of 500 gpm each; III. Approximately 12,600 linear feet of new distribution piping; including isolation valves and fire hydrants; IV. Further investigation and possible remediation of contamination at one existing water well; V. Upgrade of all existing well control and discharge piping, including hydropneumatic tanks if necessary; VI. Provision of full SCADA controls for entire water system; and VII. Provision of water service meters.
