Document Description
Application for a CUP and a Coastal Development Permit to allow a new above ground fuel with 24/7 automated service. The facility will consist of two 12,000 gallon double contained, ballistic fuel storage tanks which will be contained by a 2 hour fire rated wall and a steel canopy roof structure. Under the canopy will be two fuel dispensers for land based vehicle fueling. In addition, several double contained fuel lines will be installed in an underground trench that will originate from the proposed fuel tanks and terminate at the base of the pier to supply the existing marine fueling dispensers located on the Isthmus Cove pier/floats. The existing 40,000 gallon underground fueling facility located in the View Corridor sub-district at the base of the pier will be removed. Temporary 8,000 gallon fueling tanks will be installed at the existing fuel dispensing location and will be removed once the proposed facility is complete. Application also includes a request for LCP amendment from the existing designation of residential sub-district to utilities/services sub-district. Only two employees will be required to be at the facility during routine cleaning, maintenance, and for the re-fueling of the proposed tanks which will occur on an as needed basis. Approximately 215 c.y. of grading will be required which will be balanced onsite.
