Document Description
The proposed project is an amendment to the Central Business District Redevelopment Project Area. This amendment proposes to provide the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency the authority to use the power of eminent domain for 12 years on certain properties with the exception of properties designated as residential in the General Plan, zoned for residential use or properties legally used for residential purposes. The Project Area includes 130 acres of land in the central portion of the City of Baldwin Park. The proposed project, in and of itself, is not a development project or land use plan and will not have a direct physical impact on the existing environment of the Project Area. The proposed actions are all being taken in accordance with the provisions of the California Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.
