Document Description
The Moreno Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility (RWRF) presently has 18 reclaimed water storage ponds. Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) intends to deepen four of these ponds by about 13 feet. These four ponds have a total surface area of 524,000 SF. Deepening these four ponds by 13 feet would increase the storage capacity by about 156 acre-feet. The Sun City RWRF has eight reclaimed water storage ponds. EMWD intends to deepen four of these ponds by about 10 feet. These four ponds have a total surface area of 523,000 SF. Deepening these ponds by 10 feet would increase the storage capacity by about 120 acre-feet. It is also proposed to construct a new storage facility at the Sun City RWRF. The new pond would have a total surface area of 400,000 SF. Constructing this pond to a depth of 15 feet would add an additional storage capacity of about 136 acre-feet.
