The project consists of two routine flood control maintenance activities: 1) sediment removal, including the removal of in-channel vegetation and 2) vegetation removal. For the purposes of the IS/MND, the term 'sediment removal' is used throughout and it includes the removal of in-channel vegetation. Sediment removal is the act of mechanically removing sediment that has deposited within a channel.
