- Document Description
- The proposed project includes 47 new residential condominiums on a 2.11-acre site within Development Area 1 of the Wood Street Zoning District (WSZD). The granted approvals include a Preliminary and Final Development Plan, Design Review for new construction, and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map for a one-lot subdivision for condominium purposes. The project relies on the previously certified Final EIR for the Wood Street Project (ER03-0023, SCH# 2004012110certified March 16, 2005) and the previously certified Final EIR for the West Oakland Specific Plan (ER12-0018; SCH# 2012102047, certified July 15, 2014) (collectively, the Previous CEQA Documents), and will implement all applicable standard conditions of approval and mitigation measures identified in the Previous CEQA Documents. On May 20, 2015, the Planning Commission determined that the project was within the prior scope of the project/approvals evaluated in the Previous CEQA Documents, that none of the circumstances necessitating preparation of additional CEQA review as specified in CEQA and the CEQA Guidelines, including without limitation Public Resources Code section 21166 and CEQA Guidelines sections 15162 and 15163 are present, and that no further environmental review is required. In addition, on a separate and independent basis, the project is also exempt from CEQA review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15183 (project consistent with a community plan, general plan or zoning).
