The County of Ventura has identified the following objectives for this project:
- Provide for the replacement of the existing facilities within the County of Ventura El Rio Maintenance Yard.
- Locate the new County Operations Yard in the same general area of the County as the existing facility on a site with similar access characteristics to the existing El Rio Maintenance Yard.
- Development the new County Operations Yard on a site planned for industrial uses to ensure compatibility with existing and planned surrounding land uses.
