The project is to expand the landfill vertically an additional 115 feet from 1,300 feet above mean sea level to 1,415 above mean sea level, increase the refuse disposal area from 420 acres to 453 acres, increase the permitted capacity from 123.1 million cubic yards to 148.8 million cubic yards, and extend the closure sate from 2013 to 2021.
